Rachel Faye Scherzinger

Rachel is multiply-handicapped due to complications during open heart surgery at age 6 months.

Spring 1996 - Ready to take Mom out for Mother's Day brunch.
August 1995 - Rachel is trying to stand. She can now pull herself up to an upright kneeling position and move around the living room with intent. She will invariably make it over to the sofa where Daddy is sitting to give him a hug. Here are a few photos of Rachel in this position.
August 1994 - This photo was taken when we dropped Rachel off at St. Mary's Infant Home in Norfolk, VA. She was there for about 7 months while she underwent an intensive seizure treatment program. She returned home in February 1995.
Spring 1994 - This photo, taken at age 3, was a rare occurrence of her sitting by herself unsupported. Now she does this all the time.
